FAQ's
What tags fit the Speed Tagger?
The Speed Tagger works with all major tag brands — including Z-Tag, Allflex, Leader, Y-Tex, and more.
For 2-piece tags, you simply swap out the pin on the M12 to match the brand you're using — it’s quick and easy.
For 1-piece tags, all major brands fit on the standard 1-piece pin provided with the M11 model — no need to change anything.
When ordering the M12, just select the tag brands you use, and I’ll make sure your Speed Tagger is set up with the correct pin and ready to go.
How long does the battery last?
You can expect roughly 800–1,000 tags per charge under normal use, and with two batteries included, you’ll get through up to 2,000 head in a single day.
Each battery takes just 90 minutes to fully recharge, so with a bit of rotation, you’ll never be left waiting. The Speed Tagger is built to keep up with big days in the yards without missing a beat.
What’s the warranty?
The Speed Tagger is backed by our 1 Year Yard-Proof Warranty. You can drop it in the yards or throw it in the back of the ute without worrying because it’s built to handle real-world conditions. If something goes wrong we’ll replace it.
The warranty also covers manufacturing faults including the battery, charging system and internal electronics. We keep spare parts on hand and provide fast turnaround on repairs or replacements to minimise downtime. If you ever need help you’ll have direct support so just reach out and we’ll make sure you’re sorted.
M11 vs M12 – what’s best for me?
The M11 is designed for 1-piece management (VID) and feedlot tags, featuring a flick-away pin to reduce ear tearing if an animal jerks their head.
The M12 is built for 2-piece tags and includes a removable smart insert — leave it in for management (VID) and fly tags, or take it out for EID tags.
Many producers choose to run two units — one dedicated to management tags (either 1 or 2 piece) and the other permanently set up for EID tags to make yard work faster and easier.
How fast is the Speed Tagger?
The Speed Tagger is about 3 times faster than a manual applicator. That means animals spend less time restrained and heavily reduces the chances of ripping ears.
Because it’s automatic, you don’t need to be a brute or have a vice-like grip. There’s no squeezing or forcing — just line it up and pull the trigger. It’s fast, smooth, and easy on your hands — even after a full day of tagging.
